sumayah holden

WVO Board President

Practice Manager & Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Sumayah's 1st love was Marine Biology, having grown up near the beach. From elementary school through her 1st year of college, that was the focus. When she got a job as a receptionist in an animal hospital at 19 years old, her focus and dream quickly became veterinary medicine. After working in the field and doing general ed in school, Sumayah was accepted into the Veterinary Technician Program at Mt. Sac, where she graduated from in 1998 and immediately sat for the "boards" and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. She practiced in Southern California for many years as an RVT and Practice Manager before visiting a friend in Wyoming and falling in love with the breathtaking beauty.

Within 3 months of that fated visit almost 15 years ago, Sumayah and her now husband Paul, moved here!  They have two Golden Retrievers, Hoyt and Adeline, a cat named Wyatt (don't tell him he is a cat, though, as he truly believes he is one of the dogs), and two Green Cheek Conures, Turq and Güs.

Sumayah enjoys camping, kayaking, hiking, off-roading, Nordic and alpine skiing, snowshoeing and everything else Wyoming has to offer. She loves being in Jackson and feels it is the perfect place for her, Paul, and their furry and feathered kids.

MJ Forman

DVM, DACVIM (Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist)

MJ moved to Jackson Hole with her family in 1970.  She graduated from Jackson-Wilson High School and attended Colorado State University for her undergraduate degree. CSU Veterinary School followed, where MJ became a DVM in 1985. MJ ventured to the east coast for an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a specialty hospital in Connecticut.  Three additional years were spent at Tufts University Veterinary Teaching Hospital training as a small animal internal medicine resident.  It is here that MJ met the love of her life, Dr. Daniel Forman. Dan & MJ returned to Jackson Hole and were married in 1991.  Spring Creek Animal Hospital was born in 1992.  That same year, MJ became the first board certified veterinary small animal internal medicine specialist in a three state area. MJ partially retired in 2022, but continues to provide the community with internal medicine consultations and diagnostic ultrasound through VCA Spring Creek Animal Hospital.

MJ enjoys reading, learning to cook, meditation, and loves any type of outdoor exercise, but her favorite activities include skiing, cycling and hiking. She and Dan have two adult sons, Josh and Matt. They also feel so fortunate to belong to Cruz, the most wonderful Labrador Retriever rescue!
